“The extent of the struggle determines the extent of the growth. The obstacle is an advantage, not adversity. The enemy is any perception that prevents us from seeing this.” –Ryan Holiday

In the Scriptures, “The Enemy” is known as the accuser, deceiver, or truth-distorter.

One of the fundamental “truth distortions” we suffer from is in the resentment of our struggles.

Our struggles lead us to our salvation. Our struggles illuminate our need for help, relationship, and the futility of our independence and selfishness.

In a culture of excess, how would we ever see our dire need for connection to our Creator if not for struggles, suffering and pain?

Celebrate the struggle. It’s to your advantage.
