Jesus says, “link up with me; and instead of getting tired from your doing, your rest will lead to the real and better doing.”

“Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls.” —Jesus (Matthew 11:29)

Why would Jesus say, “I am gentle and humble,” unless He knows we tend to believe the opposite. We believe the opposite because we follow religion, not God. A striving, proving, earning, impressing. And it’s torturing our souls.

Jesus invites us to something very different. He invites us to Himself. At first, it’s less sexy. Then we realize He feels like home and we let our souls drift into peace, rest, and a new knowing.

It’s better this way.

Bonus: Our work gets better, too. We work from a place of clarity and confidence… instead of frantic doing.
