Forgiveness will blow the roof off your prayers.

Have you ever felt like your prayers were hitting a ceiling? Not making it to God, or bouncing back in your face, unanswered?

I don’t know if that’s what’s happening or not, but Jesus was pretty clear.

“And when you stand praying, if you hold anything against anyone, forgive them, so that your Father in heaven may forgive you your sins.” — Jesus (Mark 11:25)

Jesus also said that God was far less interested in religious rituals and moral sacrifices, but far more interested in our learning to extend mercy and grace to one another. And every time we pray, it’s another opportunity to flex our forgiveness muscles.

Am I bitter?

Am I holding anything against anyone?

Is there unforgiveness in me?

If yes, we might feel as though our prayers are hitting a ceiling of sorts. If they are, it’s not because God isn’t listening. It’s because God is inviting us to experience more freedom via forgiveness.

Set yourself free. And let your prayers sours.

Blessings are about to flow down on you.
